A bureaucrat, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nisha Napit, was tragically killed by her unemployed husband at their home in Madhya Pradesh. The assailant, Manish Sharma, attempted to conceal the evidence and mislead the police by providing false information about the cause of death. Reportedly, Sharma was upset because Nisha Napit did not designate him as the nominee in her service book, insurance, and bank account.
Upon examination at the hospital, doctors observed bleeding from her nose and mouth. Subsequently, the police promptly arrested Mr. Sharma, relying on the post-mortem report, witness statements, and scrutiny of the crime scene.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Mukesh Shrivastava commended the investigative team for resolving the case within 24 hours and announced a reward of Rs 20,000.
