On August 6, President Droupadi Murmu was bestowed with the highest civilian honor in Fiji, the Companion of the Order of Fiji. She highlighted the close relations between the two nations and said India is willing to support the development of a more powerful, resilient, and affluent Fiji. For his leadership on a worldwide scale, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also given this honor in 2023.
