A 46-year-old man has been apprehended for purportedly attempting to murder a 30-year-old woman by stabbing her in Worli on Friday evening. According to the police, the accused was allegedly involved in an affair with the woman, who is married.
The accused, Lingappa Angargi, resides in the Premnagar area of Worli. As per the police complaint, he purportedly had an affair with the woman, who also resides in the same locality.
The Worli police have registered a case of attempted murder based on the complaint filed by the woman’s husband and have subsequently arrested Lingappa. The police have confiscated the knife utilized in the attack as evidence. Lingappa has been charged under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
