Inquiry Launched as Telangana Female Student Dragged by Hair in Agri University Stir by Police Women

Following the viral video depicting a female student in Telangana being forcibly dragged to the ground by two women police officers on a two-wheeler, Cyberabad police have initiated an inquiry into the incident.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon when around 50 ABVP activists from Osmania University arrived at the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University (PJTSAU) campus in Rajendranagar, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. They intended to participate in an ongoing student protest against the acquisition of land for the High Court complex.

The students expressed concern that allocating the earmarked 100 acres for the new High Court complex would harm the ecology and biodiversity of the area. They advocate preserving the land designated for agricultural research and urged the government to identify barren land elsewhere for the project.
