Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s much-anticipated film “Fighter” is set to hit theaters on January 25, but fans in Gulf countries face disappointment as the movie has been officially banned for theatrical release across the Middle East, with the exception of the UAE. The news was confirmed by film business expert and producer Girish Johar, who revealed that the film will only see a release in the UAE with a PG15 classification. The reasons behind the ban in other Gulf nations remain undisclosed, and the film’s makers are yet to provide an official statement regarding the situation.
Despite the setback in Gulf countries, “Fighter” will still make its debut in Indian theaters on the scheduled release date. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the aerial action thriller also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. Produced by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, the film is positioned as a tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian armed forces. The director, Siddharth Anand, expressed his enthusiasm for the project and urged audiences to support “Fighter” as they did with his previous film “Pathaan.”
