In recent days, daytime temperatures in the city have reached up to 38 degrees Celsius, nearing its highest-ever recorded April temperature of 39.2 degrees Celsius in 2016. The current temperatures are at least three degrees higher than Bengaluru typically experiences in April.
The city is also experiencing warmer nights, which is a departure from the typically pleasant evenings residents are accustomed to. Minimum temperatures are reaching new highs, with the city recording 23 degrees Celsius yesterday—higher than temperatures recorded in Delhi and Gurugram.
