Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, emphasized the challenges confronting Ayodhya as the sacred city prepares for an influx of devotees eager to pay homage to Ram Lalla on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
Rai disclosed that there has been a notable increase in the number of devotees visiting Ayodhya, with figures ranging from 100,000 to 150,000, especially following the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
Rai mentioned that they are expecting over 200,000 visitors during Ram Navami, and ensuring their well-being, especially regarding access to food and water, is a top priority. He noted that while water is available, providing adequate food remains a challenge.
Due to the scorching temperatures, Rai advised devotees to bring ‘sattu’ with them, a traditional flour renowned for its cooling properties, to help counteract the effects of the heat.
