On January 3rd, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow in Thrissur, Kerala, the city was adorned with saffron hues. Saffron balloons, ribbons, festoons, and BJP flags transformed the city into a vibrant display, as the Prime Minister was showered with bright saffron and yellow marigold petals.
After a two-day visit to Lakshadweep, the Prime Minister arrived in Thrissur. His presence in the city was dedicated to addressing the ‘Women’s Power with Modi’ conference, organized by the Kerala unit of the BJP. The event aimed to express gratitude for the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill.
Shops around Swaraj Round and nearby lanes were closed, and all lanes meeting Swaraj Round were shut for traffic from 11 a.m. Security for the roadshow was ensured with double-layer barricades.
