Delhi recorded its 13th consecutive rainfall on Thursday, making it the longest steak of rainfall the capital has seen in the last 13 years, according to India Meteorological Department (IMDB).
The IMDB started keeping track of this report since 2011. Former longest streak of rainfall was for 11 consecutive days in September 2021, August 2012 and August 2013 until it was broken this year. According to the officials, the streak will be longer.
The continuous rain streak has helped the air quality of the capital, which remained satisfactory for 19th consecutive day.
