Delhi and several other towns in North India are predicted to experience heatwave to severe heatwave conditions on Monday, according to red advisories issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for the capital. “We are receiving heatwave to severe heatwave conditions over the North India plains and also for the Western Himalayan regions,” said Soma Sen, an IMD scientist. Consequently, red alerts have been issued throughout Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi today, June 17, 2024.”
