India’s Agni-Prime Ballistic Missile Passes Successful Flight Test, Marks Next Generation Advancements

The Strategic Forces Command (SFC), in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), conducted a successful flight test of the new-generation ballistic missile Agni-Prime from the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha at around 7 pm on Wednesday.

According to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Agni-P is a two-stage canisterized solid propellant ballistic missile equipped with a dual redundant navigation and guidance system. It boasts a range of 1,000-2,000 km and was initially tested in June 2021. Notably, Agni-P is lighter than all its predecessors in the Agni series of missiles.
