Samsung introduced its Bespoke series of home appliances on Wednesday, featuring AI technology. These appliances are equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, internal cameras, and AI chips, and will showcase Samsung’s Bespoke AI, allowing users to access controls via the SmartThings Application.
Samsung asserts that AI can enhance the longevity and sustainability of these appliances by providing proactive notifications and reminders. For instance, a refrigerator can alert users when it’s time to replace the water filter, and similarly, an air conditioner can notify users when the air filter needs changing. While it might not be immediately evident why AI is necessary for these tasks, Samsung aims to streamline appliance management by integrating AI, thereby reducing the time required for users to oversee these maintenance tasks.
