Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) in Ahmedabad on Thursday, where he inaugurated several dairy product factories.
In his address, PM Modi underscored the remarkable growth of the initiative that began with villagers in Gujarat 50 years ago, likening it to a seed blossoming into a robust banyan tree. He extended congratulations to all individuals associated with the movement and recognized the pivotal role of milch animals in its success.
Highlighting the vital role of women in the dairy sector, PM Modi emphasized the importance of enhancing the financial status of every woman in India to drive the nation’s development forward. He noted that the government is actively working to empower women financially, citing the provision of assistance exceeding Rs 30 lakh crore to approximately 70 percent of women under the Mudra Yojana.
