The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the persistence of very dense fog and severe cold day conditions in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar until January 29. An orange alert has been issued by the weather department for these states.
On Saturday, the national capital Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 4.3 degrees Celsius, which is four notches below the season’s average.
The IMD has forecasted a rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C in the next two days, persisting for the following three days.
The weather agency has predicted no significant change in minimum temperatures over many parts of Northwest India in the next 24 hours, followed by a rise of 2-3°C in the subsequent 3-4 days.
